Riley Contracting Group completing $2.5 million North Carolina Museum of Art project
Riley Contracting Group based in Cary has announced that it is working to complete a more than $2.5 million renovation of portions of the North Carolina Museum of Art’s East Building. The 181,000-sq. ft. facility was the first building to open on the museum’s Blue Ridge Rd. site in 1983.
Notably, the project includes renovations to the museum’s art storage and preservation operations. Upgraded storage technology, a roof replacement, revised floor plan and new finishes will result in a state-of-the-art facility capable of preserving the museum’s expanding collection of valuable artwork, the contractor says in a news release.
“We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with the North Carolina Museum of Art to help them further educate and inspire art enthusiasts in the Triangle,” Calin Riley, project manager and business developer for Riley Contracting Group, said in the statement. “Riley Contracting is always proud to contribute our services for projects that help to better our local community.”
