Wake County 111 Sunnybrook at Wakebrook

  • Scope: Addition and Phased Occupied Renovation
  • Total Project Cost: $3.2M
  • Type of Project: Medical Facility
  • Length of Project: 1 Year

The purpose of the 111 Sunnybrook expansion and renovation project was to enable the county to increase the number of patients treated for various substance abuse and mental health issues. The project consisted of a single story, 7,248-square-foot building expansion and an additional 440-square-foot renovation within the existing building. This facility is occupied 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. The existing facility remained in operation during construction, and we were required to accommodate the patient population’s treatment by limiting noise and visual stimulation.

The extensive scope of work involved clearing and grading, asphalt paving, rock blasting, fireproofing, carpentering, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, painting, tiling, carpeting, plumbing, installing security, upgrading data/phone systems, and creating signage. In addition, anti-ligature hardware, accessories and fixtures were used throughout the scope of work.
