NC State University’s Watauga Hall

Built in 1901, Watauga Hall is one of the oldest dormitories at NC State University and was one of the first buildings constructed to house female and African-American students on the campus. NC State University approached Riley Contracting Group to complete upgrades to the building’s HVAC unit as well as other HVAC enhancements throughout the building, spanning wall coverings, floor coverings, masonry and numerous electrical upgrades. The project drastically increased the efficiency of the building, earning Riley Contracting Group a Certificate of Merit from the North Carolina State Construction Office.
