The NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine Theater’s world-leading faculty and clinicians are at the forefront of interdisciplinary biomedical innovation, conducting solution-driven research that defines the interconnections between animal and human health.
This project consisted of demolition of existing theater and renovation to update the space. The project was completed successfully during the summer months to minimize the impact on NC State’s student population and ensure classes would occur as scheduled in the fall. The project included extensive demolition to allow for mechanical and electrical upgrades to the space as well as acoustical ceiling tile and installation of new carpet and VCT flooring. This project also required exterior wall and door demolition to allow for structural steel installation accommodating a new storefront window. Concrete work was also required to relocate steps for new desks and new cable trenches in the floor. All concrete work was self-performed by Riley Contracting Group. Finishes also included painting, new P-Lam panels and millwork – as well as wall mounted marker boards.
