Riley Contracting Group completed two projects for the swimming pool and aquatics center at NC State University.

The first project included replacing all mechanical systems serving the two pools at the Carmichael Complex on the main campus. This project was a phased replacement and upgrade of the pool equipment that serves the 25-yard and 50-meter pools at the Carmichael complex. The equipment for the 25-yard pool was replaced summer of 2010 and the 50-meter equipment was replaced summer of 2011. The mechanical room systems that were replaced included the filtration, disinfectant & PH balance, water heating, room ventilation, and room lighting. In addition, the 25-yard pool received new deck surface tile, a new gutter system and a removable starting blocking system.

The second project involved construction of a new 1100 square foot entrance lobby addition onto the existing Carmichael Pool Complex. The addition was a steel structure with brick veneer, clad aluminum wall panels, an aluminum storefront and EPDM roof with precast coping. Total construction time took 90 days.
